Rajesh has been successfully running a steel manufacturing business for the last 30 years. With his vast experience and knowledge of the business world, we at DT are fortunate to have a visionary founder who is a successful entrepreneur and an experienced mentor to our business.
Dipane has more than 10 years of experience in managing ERP system in manufacturing sector. In order to upgrade to a new age simple ERP system which can be customized as per the business need, Dipane researched and came across ERPNext in 2020 and migrated to ERPNext by developing his own implementation team. Having gained this experience, he founded DT and is now offering implementation services to the market.

Journey from SAP to ERPNext
Dipane has been part of his family business, which has been manufacturing Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings under the brand name Multicolor Steels, for 30 years.

In 2008, Multicolor transitioned from Tally to SAP, and Dipane played a crucial role in internal change management, user training, testing, and implementation of SAP.
​
Over the years, he maintained SAP with the help of various SAP partners and faced many issues such as software rigidity, high license fees, a complex user interface, long learning curves for new teams, and high maintenance costs. With changing government laws, the system's speed of change was slow, leading to challenges like delayed dispatches due to poor implementation, costly updates, etc.
​
To upgrade to a new, simple ERP system that could be customized according to business needs, Dipane researched and tried many other solutions in the market like Zoho, Odoo, etc., but was not satisfied. He came across ERPNext in 2020 and tried it for one year parallel to SAP in the organization.
​
As a result, the users in the organization found that ERPNext had a better user interface, was very intuitive, easy to learn and understand, simple to customize according to the company’s needs, allowed for quick changes, was scalable in terms of the number of users, had no license fees, and offered many other advantages.
​
Finally, Multicolor migrated to ERPNext by developing its own implementation team. Having gained this experience, Dipane founded DT and is now offering implementation services to the market.
​
Multicolor has been successfully running on ERPNext since 2022 with modules Accounting, GST India, Purchase, Sales, Manufacturing, Projects, Inventory, User Administration and HRMS.
